Djarot mengklaim bahwa 74 persen warga Jakarta puas atas kinerja Ahok dan Djarot selama menjadi Gubernur Jakarta 2012-2017. Djarot mengatakan telah bekerja maksimal untuk melayani warga Jakarta.
“Alhamdulillah tingkat kepuasan warga cukup tinggi sekitar 74 persen,” ujar Djarot saat menghadiri Kaleidoskop dan Terima Kasih Untuk Ahok-Djarot di Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta Pusat, Sabtu, (14/10/ 2017) lalu.
Di penghujung masa jabatannya, Djarot mengatakan telah mengebut pekerjaan beberapa program, seperti Rencana Kerja Pembangunan Daerah untuk Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah DKI Jakarta 2018.
Djarot pun mengucapkan terima kasih dan apresiasinya atas dukungan dari warga selama dia dan Ahok menjabat sebagai gubernur. “Terima kasih atas berbagai macam dukungan dan semangat itu,” ucap Djarot.
Acara Kaleidoskop dan Terima Kasih Untuk Ahok-Djarot itu di buat oleh relawan Ahok-Djarot untuk mengucapkan terima kasih. Persiapan acara dilakukan selama dua bulan. Jumlah panitia bersekitar 700 orang panitia dari 168 organisasi relawan.

“Dia (Sihar) di Menko PMK. Saya bilang saya tarik Sihar ya. (Kata Puan) ‘Jangan loh ma yang lain aja’,” cerita Megawati. Megawati meyakini anaknya akan marah atas tindakannya itu. Namun dirinya tetap memilih Sihar, karena telah melihat rekam jejak Sihar.

Sedemikian Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) memberikan dukungan pada pasangan calon Djarot Saiful Hidayat-Sihar Sitorus untuk Pemgub Sumut. Djarot merespons positif dukungan dari Partai berlambang Kabah tersebut.
“Kita ini tetangga yang baik, kalau perlu kita bikin pintu,” kata mantan Gubernur DKI Jakarta ini di kantor DPP PPP, Jakarta Pusat, Senin (8/1/2018).
Sementara, Ketua DPW PPP Sumatera Utara, Hasan Suhairi menambahkan, pertemuan dan rekomendasi hari ini seperti nostalgia kedua antara dua partai.
“Ini seperti waktu Mega Bintang kembali,” ujarnya disambut tawa ceria semuanya.
Saat ini, di DPRD Sumut, kekuatan elektoral PDIP mempunya 16 kursi dari total 100 kursi yang ada. PDIP harus menggandeng partai lain untuk bisa mengusung pasangan calon karena syarat minimal dukungan adalah 20 kursi. Sementara, PPP memiliki 4 kursi.
